Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.

I have been terribly remiss in not listing my commission prices here, so I will remedy this. I am also going to worry about beautifying this entry later (or doing a more attractive entry later) as I just want to get the prices out there for those who have been curious.

Portrait Lineart: $5-$10
Full Color Portraits: $10-$20
Monochrome Digital Pencil Portraits: 15$-25$
Chibis: $5-$10
Bust/Waist Up Lineart: $10-$15
Full Color Bust/Waist Up Portraits: $20-$25
Three Quarter Portrait Lineart: $15-$25
Full Color Three Quarter Portrait: $25-$35
Full Body Lineart: $20-$30
Full Color Full Body: $40-$50

*Addition of background and/or complicated props may cost extra depending on complexity.
*Additional characters cost will vary depending on what type of commission you're getting.
*If there's something in my gallery that catches your eye that I don't have a price listed for, that doesn't mean I won't do it! It just means I overlooked it when doing pricing. Feel free to note me here or email me about it.
*Pricing is always negotiable. If you wanted something super simplistic, naturally you shouldn't have to pay full price for that.

Purchasing a commission means that:

- I must always be identified as the original artist. There's never a circumstance that makes it okay for anyone to take credit for my work.
- You may display the art however you see fit - personal websites, galleries, avatars, printed to be hung on your wall, etc.
- You may NOT profit commercially off the art.

In the case that you want to profit commercially off my art (prints, t-shirts, etc) you will need to pay more for the rights to do this. That will be worked out on a case to case basis, rather than me trying to attach a single number to such a thing.

Things I WILL NOT draw:

- Hentai, distasteful nudity, pornography, etc.
- Guro, and/or things of excessive violence and gore involving entrails, etc.

In the past I've had people cover Paypal fees as well, but I've also read that goes against PayPal terms of service and can get your account terminated. So. I'm not sure I can go that route anymore, or if there's even really truth to it. If someone knows and can let me know that'd be awesome. As is, I might be reviewing some of the lower price tiers and raising them a little to cover that nasty fee.

Another IMPORTANT note: In the past I've been happy to do commissions for people first, THEN get paid. I will no longer do this for those I've not done business with before. I'm not happy to have to change my policy like this, but I did so out of necessity after someone scammed me for free art. My requirement to get paid first is less me not trusting you personally, and more me protecting myself and making sure I get paid for my time. I don't mind doing a rough sketch before payment, but I will not proceed further than that without payment. The only exception to this rule will be those I've done commissions for in the past.
